Nike came to RARE Design in the spring of twenty twenty one with a challenge worthy of one of the game’s most electrifying talents. The task was to create the identity of Ja Morant, a player whose presence on the court feels more like a phenomenon than a performance. His vertical is untouchable. His speed slices through defenses. His vision is precise and relentless.
We immersed ourselves in who Ja is, both on and off the court. His story, his focus, his fire. We studied his movement, his mentality, and the symbols that surround his name. The final identity is rooted in three pillars. The velocity he plays with. The "Jaws" persona given to him by peers who know exactly what he is capable of. And the chevron that anchors the mark, drawn from the words inked on his skin. Beneath No One. That line is not just a motto. It is the foundation of a brand built for someone who was born to rise.

The Silent Assassin.
Bradley Beal is a man of quiet dominance. His game speaks louder than words ever could. Known by many names including Big Panda and Real Deal Beal, there is one that captures his essence more than the rest. Silent Assassin.
When we set out to develop Bradley’s identity, we knew this was not about volume. This was about presence. On the court, Bradley does not demand attention with flash. He takes it with force. His movements are smooth and unassuming, but within seconds he creates separation, finds space, and delivers with precision. You never see it coming. You never hear it. But the moment the shot drops or the lane opens, you feel it.
We studied that rhythm. The restraint. The cold clarity in his approach. The identity had to carry that same intensity. Controlled. Calculated. Lethal when it counts. Every decision in the design speaks to the power of patience and the beauty of timing. A brand for a man who does not need noise to make an impact. He lets the game speak, and the world listens.
